Women spend a lot of money on designer fashion accessories, especially designer handbags. My favorite picks are designer purses made by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Goyard, and Hermes. My closet is filled with these famous brands, and it's an investment I made over the past ten years. I enjoy buying and owning a classic handbag. Lately, the leather handbags made by Tano have caught my attention. Tano handbags are not high priced and can be bought for under $250. Yet the Tano handbag is made very well with lots of room, colorful leathers and details beyond one's expectations. The Tano handbag brand has been a famous name for a very long time, too. Tano handbags were being made as far back as 1912. The Tano Company owes its success to its founder Sebatian "Tano" Giner. Over the years, the Tano Company was managed by the Giner Family. Even today, the fashionable Tano handbags are being designed and sold by Steve and Seb Giner. The Tano handbag is a legacy. Tano handbags have always had a modern look and feel. Tano handbags are a modern day classic because Tano keeps up with the times and provides an affordable handbag perfect to use everyday. Tano bags are very contemporary looking with sleek styles and versatile functionality. Many of the styles are large, roomy shoulder bags with lots of pockets and comfortable straps. Tano leather handbags are light weight compared to others, too. Even the larger styles aren't heavy to carry because Tano bags are usually uncontructed creating a slouchy, comfortable design. When I was a little girl it was fun to dress up in Mom's clothes and pretend I was a fashionable woman with style and grace. I remember the leather clutch bags and Kelly bags from the 1950's, 60's and 70's as though it was yesterday. But I never paid attention to labels back then and don't know if any of the bags my mother owned were from famous designers. Now, I wonder if she had a Gucci or two, and wonder if Tano handbag was her favorite.
Mom would take down all her hat boxes open them and place them on the bed for me to try on. It was so much fun! Her hats had veils to pull over the front of my face. They had feathers and long decorative hat pins to add style. They were made of satin and felt. She called them pill box hats. She loved them.
Mom's shoe collection was smart and diverse. Many of the shoes were black and they all had high heels. The leather high heeled shoes were truly a challenge and made dressing up in Mom's accessories a day to remember. The hats, shoes and bags were all color coordinated. Women carried a red leather handbag wearing red leather shoes and a red hat. Everything matched!
When I read Vogue and see today's styles, many remind me of my mom's collection. Fashion trends come and go. History repeats itself. Designers create and recreate pulling ideas from inspiring thoughts and memories. Not much changes, the prices get much higher, but the styles, fabrications and colors are very much the same.
